Thanksgiving Salads Thanksgiving Salad ?

Thanksgiving salad ? - thanksgiving salads

I want to do some kind of salad at Thanksgiving. I thought some light on all things weight of conventional dressing and mashed potatoes equilibrium. Has anyone a recipe that is simple, nothing too UN-usual? My father is a "meat n potatoes" kind of guy.

My family insists that I, the 7-layer salad make every year .....

Take a 9x13 is (glass high, it will suffice now, Mai Mai pan)

Mutilation of a head of lettuce or two in the pan.
Dice celery, onion, peppers, Roma tomatoes, and make a bed for each (this may be what you want to change the vegetables. It is a bag of frozen peas topcoat.
Take 2 cups of mayonnaise and mix with a little sugar, I use a little less than 1 / 2 cup (add more for sweeter or less - depending on what you want)
"Frost" on top, just above the peas
Put cheddar cheese on the bacon and sprinkle. Cover firmly and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, I usually do overnight.
